We are proud to present the English website of the “Alessandra Graziottin Foundation for the cure and care of women”.

The aim of the Foundation, as extensively explained in the Mission, is:
a) to develop the culture of pain in Italy and abroad, at a scientific, clinical and popular level. Firstly, by focusing on pain in women, a pain that is an objective condition of physical, economic, social and domestic disadvantage;
b) to increase the diagnostic and therapeutic care of pain and of the syndromes characterized by pain, in medical services, to enlarge significantly the number of patients able to take advantage of effective antalgic therapies;
c) to train medical and paramedical staff in the therapy of pain in women, in the different specialities.

The section “Scientific Updates” includes articles and chapters of books written by Professor Alessandra Graziottin and other physicians involved in the therapy of pain in women. You can search them with the “Scientific research” engine. Every paper is linked to many related articles in the site and other web resources.

Currently, most of the articles is about Obstetrics-Gynaecology and Sexual Medicine: in the future, the set of topics will spread to reach all the most important medical specialities about women health, in a life-span perspective.

The site offers wide pieces of information about the composition of its boards, as well:
- the Ethical Board is constituted by people of high scientific, moral and symbolic reputation for having focused all their personal and professional life on the prevention and cure of pain;
- the Scientific Board includes physicians and psychologists particularly committed to research on, and therapy of, pain;
- the Cultural Board comprises eminent personalities in the literary, philosophical and spiritual field.
